理事長的話語

自九月份正式從林俊哲先生正式交接之後，我們再度感謝他在六年內為會裡作的一切努力，我們也將在現有的基礎繼續發展會務。

會刊是非常重要，它代表我們的會。很欣慰地，我們中國鼻煙壺協會會刊第二期如期出刊了。除了國際鼻煙壺協會每年固定出刊三期後，地球上，第二個鼻煙壺團體能具有這種能量就是我們了。這是多麼不容易的事，特別是以我們不到100人的會員人數及有限協會資金。

為了跟國際鼻煙壺協會連結，楊耀生常務理事，王哲仁理事和我於2010年10月特地到夏威夷參加他們2010年的世界大會，瞭解他們的議程包含演講、參觀及展覽。更重要的是，我們在這幾天跟所有世界上鼻煙壺界重量級人物都見面了，讓他們知道協會的存在及努力。接著於11月，我們三人再到上海與中福古玩城和徐董事長開會討論2011年三月的展售會，隔日便趕到寧波參觀天一古玩城主辦的國際鼻煙壺展。我們盡可能從各項鼻煙壺相關活動吸取知識作為協會將來自己辦理活動的參考。

平常總覺得對協會、對鼻煙壺有好多想法。在這期會刊裡，我想強調的是協會裡想作的一件事就是鼻煙壺知識的傳達，希望我們會員能從自己的定期會刊及協會各項活動獲得有關鼻煙壺的知識，進一步提昇對鼻煙壺的興趣。最後，我邀請我們所有的會員積極投稿讓我們會刊更多元更豐富，謝謝。

I have taken the responsibility of chairman formally from Mr. Lin since September, 2010. Again, we thank him for his contributions to the Association during last six years. We will continue grow based on the current foundation.

Our journal is very important because it stands for all the efforts of Association. Gladly, our second issue comes out as scheduled. In my knowledge, we are the second snuff bottle institution that publishes journals regularly. The first one is International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society (ICSBS) that has their journals, three issues a year. It is not easy considering that we have fewer than hundred members and very limited funds. I sincerely wish all our members would appreciate our own journal and understand what it means.

To link us with ICSBS, Mr. Y.S. Yang, managing director, Mr. Spencer Wang, director, and I went to Honolulu, Hawaii in October to attend their 2010 annual convention. Our purpose is to learn how they hold the convention including the lectures, tour and exhibitions. What is more significant is that we met all the important people related to snuff bottles, so they would know more about Association and the efforts being made. In November, three of us flew to Shanghai to have a meeting with Chung Fu Curio City to discuss the exhibition held in March 2011. Next day, we went to Ningbo to view their first International Snuff Bottle Exhibition. We want to learn know-how from all the snuff bottle related activities as to apply them for our own events in the future.

I always have so many thoughts about the Association and snuff bottles. In this issue, I wish to emphasize is that one of missions of Association is to convey the knowledge on snuff bottles. We wish all our members will learn from our regularly journals and activities, furthermore, to promote their interests on snuff bottle. At last, I invite all our members to send more articles to the journals to make it more versatile and fascinating. Thank you.
